Delete Button

The Delete button is used to delete an existing record in the table. It can be selected by:  

·Clicking the button with the left mouse button, or  
·Pressing, and holding down, the <CTRL> key and pressing the <D> key (the underlined letter), or  
·Selecting Edit on the Menu Bar, then selecting Delete Hi-Lighted Record  

Doing any of the above displays a dialog box prompting for confirmation to delete the selected record.

noteRecords are not physically removed from the file when they are deleted, but are marked with an X in the Del column.  
 
Deleted records are physically removed when the file is packed & indexed. Marking records with an X instead of removing them immediately allows records to be recalled (i.e., undeleted).
