As can be seen in the sample screen below, the software has the ability to send reports, sales invoices, checks, mailing labels and regular price tickets, and bar coded price tickets to separate printers. (The appropriate equipment and printer drivers, must of course, be installed.)
Clicking the Select Printer button displays thePrint Setup form (shown below) from which the desired printer, page orientation, paper size/source, etc. can be selected.
Clicking the Select Font button displays the Font form (shown below) from which the desired font, font style, size, effects, and color can be selected.
To maintain backwards compatibility with the DOS version of DMS, one can assign a physical port (LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, COM1, COM2, or DISK) via the list box. Doing so hides the Select Printer and Select Font buttons and displays a set of entry fields for entering the proper control codes.
Although the ability to assign a physical port is included in the program, the preferred print manner is via the windows interface.
